Society of Women Engineers in Central Florida
A branch of the National organization Society of Women Engineers, the Central Florida section is a networking group that brings awareness of engineering opportunities and career advancement to women in the area. The Central Florida branch of Women Engineers covers Orange County, Osceola County, Seminole County, and the surrounding areas.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) provides resources to help women be successful in the engineering field. The membership benefits include Community Support, Education and Development, Resources, Information, and Leadership Skills.
Every month the organization gets together to network with one another during networking lunches and happy hours. The Central Florida branch also has several educational meetings on various topics throughout the month. Some of the gatherings take place at Rollins College in Winter Park, Seasons 52 restaurant in Orlando, University of Central Florida, and the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
