Madison County

Madison County borders Georgia and is located between the cities of Jacksonville and Tallahassee.  The quaint town of Madison is the county seat and is known as one of the “Best Little Towns in Florida.”  Madison County is known for its historical landmarks including 19th century old mansions.

Madison County’s diverse outdoors offers a 135 mile bicycle trail called “The Loop,” cave diving at Madison Blue Springs, and water sports on the 600-acre Cherry Lake.

The county is also only one of five counties in Florida that is “dry” and no alcoholic beverages can be sold within county lines.
